Adarsh Grama Panchayat

Adarsh Grama panchayat is a project aimed to ensure the availability of primary facilities such as Drinking Water, Agriculture, Education, Medical and Health Care, Communication, Women and Child Development etc. for a village by raising the fund required for it locally from the budget of various departments.

Ajgarbahar - As Ideal Grama panchayat

The village Ajgarbahar, which is situated 30 Kms away from the district headquarter, is selected for the implementation of this project. This Grama Panchayat consist of :-

l        7 Villages

l        7 Settlement Areas

l        Total population is 1790

l        90% of total population are tribal

l        44 families of the special tribal Pahadi Korwa is living here

Administration

A District level committee was formed under the presidential ship of District Collector and District level officers as well as journalists and local representatives. In every 15 days the district level officers visits these villages and provide necessary directions.

Gensamasya Nivaran Shivir

For quickly solving the public problems and grievances, a special project - Gensamasya Nivaran Shivir - being conducted. The details of meeting as follows

Drinking Water

New hand pumps build in 13 settlement areas

Boundary created for 10 old hand pumps

Maintained 4 platforms

One public bath room built in Bishrampur area and which is connected with 5 hand pump by 30 ms of pipe

Medical and Health Care

One primary health centre with one permanent doctor

Each ward has one ward boy for the inspection

Health Care Missions are conducted by Korba Health Department at the proper periods. This mission provides vaccination on the spot for the diseases like Malaria, Leprosy etc.

Under the instructions and leaderships of the officials, the villagers planted 2.5 acre wheat, 5 acre gram, 15 acre mustard, and 14 acre vegetables. Department conducting seminars for farmers.
