Korba is one of the major Mineral source of
Chhattisgarh and this district share more than half of State's total income
form mineral resources. Korba is one fo the largest treasure of coal in
India. In addition to coal, Korba is rich with other minerals like Lime
Stone, fire Clay, Other Building Meterials etc. Gavra Project is largest
Opencast Mine in India. It shares more than 11% of total coal production
of our country
